Amarok 1.4 beta 3 has been released and packages are available for Kubuntu Dapper. See the Amarok 1.4 beta 3 release page for the changelog and also the Known Issues page for problems in this beta.
These packages have been digitally signed using Jonathan Riddell's key. A copy of the key is also kept on people.ubuntu.com for verification. To add this key do:
wget http://people.ubuntu.com/~jriddell/kubuntu-packages-jriddell-key.gpg sudo apt-key add kubuntu-packages-jriddell-key.gpg
You will get a message "OK" (you may also get a warning about no ultimately trusted keys found).
Apt source:
Packages are available for i386, PowerPC and AMD64. Amarok 1.4 can not easily be supported on Kubuntu 5.10 (breezy) because it needs a newer version of taglib.
