The final Beta 1 milestone will be available on March 8.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first spin of a Beta 1 candidate in preparation for the Beta 1 release. <strong>Kubuntu Beta pre-releases are NOT recommended for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular users who are not aware of pre-release issues<\/li>\n<li>Anyone who needs a stable system<\/li>\n<li>Anyone uncomfortable running a possibly frequently broken system<\/li>\n<li>Anyone in a production environment with data or workflows that need to be reliable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kubuntu Beta pre-releases are recommended for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular users who want to help us test by finding, reporting, and\/or fixing bugs<\/li>\n<li>Kubuntu, KDE, and Qt developers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Getting Kubuntu 17.10 Beta 1 Candidates:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To upgrade to Kubuntu 18.04 pre-releases from 17.10, run sudo do-release-upgrade -d from a command line.<\/p>\n<p>Download a Bootable image and put it onto a DVD or USB Drive via the download link at<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/387\/builds\">http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/387\/builds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is also <em>the direct link to report your findings and any bug reports you file<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>See our release notes: <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/BionicBeaver\/Beta1\/Kubuntu\">https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/BionicBeaver\/Beta1\/Kubuntu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please report your results on the <a href=\"http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/387\/builds\">Release tracker<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Candidate images for the Kubuntu Bionic Beaver (18.04) Beta 1 are now available for testing.
