{"id":3803,"date":"2018-03-09T22:05:15","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T22:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kubuntu.org\/?p=3803"},"modified":"2018-03-09T22:05:15","modified_gmt":"2018-03-09T22:05:15","slug":"kubuntu-bionic-beaver-18-04-beta-1-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kubuntu.org\/news\/kubuntu-bionic-beaver-18-04-beta-1-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Kubuntu Bionic Beaver (18.04) Beta 1 Released!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first beta of the Bionic Beaver (to become 18.04) has now been released, and is available for download!<\/p>\n<p>This milestone features images for Kubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu MATE, and Xubuntu.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-releases of the Bionic Beaver are <em>not<\/em> encouraged for:<br \/>\n* anyone needing a stable system<br \/>\n* anyone who is not comfortable running into occasional,<br \/>\neven frequent breakage.<\/p>\n<p>They are, however, recommended for:<br \/>\n* Ubuntu flavour developers<br \/>\n* those who want to help in testing, reporting, and fixing<br \/>\nbugs<br \/>\nas we work towards getting this release ready.<\/p>\n<p>Beta 1 includes some software updates that are ready for broader testing.
