The final Release Candidate milestone is available today, 21 April.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first spin of a release candiate in preparation for the RC milestone. If major bugs are encountered and fixed, the RC images may be respun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kubuntu Beta pre-releases are NOT recommended for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular users who are not aware of pre-release issue<\/li>\n<li>Anyone who needs a stable system<\/li>\n<li>Anyone uncomfortable running a possibly frequently broken system<\/li>\n<li>Anyone in a production environment with data or workflows that need to be reliable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Kubuntu Beta pre-releases are recommended for<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular users who want to help us test by finding, reporting, and\/or fixing bugs<\/li>\n<li>Kubuntu, KDE, and Qt developers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Getting Kubuntu 18.04 RC testing images<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>To upgrade to Kubuntu 18.04 pre-releases from 17.10, run <em>sudo do-release-upgrade -d<\/em> from a command line.<\/p>\n<p>Download a Bootable image and put it onto a DVD or USB Drive via the download link at<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/389\/builds\">http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/389\/builds<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is also the direct link to report your findings and any bug reports you file.<\/p>\n<p>See our release notes: <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/BionicBeaver\/ReleaseNotes\/Kubuntu\">https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/BionicBeaver\/ReleaseNotes\/Kubuntu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please report your results on<a href=\"http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/389\/builds\"> the Release tracker<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Initial RC (Release Candidate) images for the Kubuntu Bionic Beaver (18.04) are now available for testing.
