Are you using Kubuntu 19.04, our current Stable release? Or are you already running our daily development builds?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We currently have Plasma 5.15.90<\/a> (Plasma 5.16 Beta)  available in our Beta PPA<\/a> for Kubuntu 19.04, and in our 19.10 development release daily live ISO images<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 19.04 Disco Dingo, add the PPA and then upgrade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa\/beta && sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Then reboot. If you cannot reboot from the application launcher,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
systemctl reboot<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
from the terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For already installed 19.10 Eoan Ermine development release systems, simply upgrade your system.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Update directly from Discover, or use the command line:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
And reboot. If you cannot reboot from the application launcher,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
systemctl reboot<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
from the terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Otherwise, to test or install the live image grab an ISO build from the <\/strong>daily live ISO images<\/a> link.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kubuntu is part of the KDE community<\/a>, so this testing will benefit both Kubuntu as well as upstream KDE Plasma software, which is used by many other distributions too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
